Department of Oncology

At our department we treat most cancer diagnosis. We offer medical cancer treatment, such as chemo- and immunotherapy, radiotherapy, symptom management and palliative care.

Our aim is to cure as many cancer patients as possible, and in instances where your disease no longer is curative, we aim at preventing or delaying the disease as much as possible. You and your family are met by multidisciplinary professionals who work together on providing the best possible treatment. In addition to phycisians and nurses, social workers, physitherapists, occupational therapists, clergy and clinical dieticians are involved in patient follow-up.

We are a university clinic, and research and education are integrated in our work. You are likely to meet students during your treatment period, and/or be requested to participate in a clinical trial.

We treat most cancer diagnoses, often in collaboration with other clinics. Children under the age if 18 are usually treated at the Children's Clinic.
