At St. Olav's Hospital, we rely on our staff having diverse and varied backgrounds to provide our patients with the best possible care.

Therefore, we encourage all qualified individuals to apply, regardless of gender, age, disability, nationality, or ethnic background. This also applies if you have had a longer period outside the workforce.

Innovation Requires New Perspectives

As the country’s leading hospital in innovation, we take pride in recognising and appreciating great ideas. Many of our best ideas come from our staff. This is something we want to continue developing.

However, if all our employees were the same, we would never have new ideas. That’s why it is especially important for us that our staff have diverse backgrounds, cultures, and worldviews.

What is a Perfect Job Candidate for Us?

At St. Olav, we are a team made up of many different players. We rely on each other’s expertise and life experience to perform at our best. We believe that all life experiences have value.

Perhaps your own experiences as a patient have given you a deeper understanding of what it feels like when someone is going through a crisis. Maybe the year you spent out of a job gave you ideas that could revolutionise one of our innovation projects. Perhaps your personal orientation, cultural background, or perspective could lead to changes in how we engage with a specific patient group.

You don’t need to be perfect to apply for a job with us. In fact, we would prefer that you aren’t. We are all human, working to help others when their lives are anything but perfect. In those times, we need warmth, empathy, and your unique skills and life experience.

We hope to hear from you – we need you on our team.

Norwegian Language Proficiency

All of our employees need to be able to communicate in Norwegian at a level that allows for good interaction with colleagues and ensures proper professional practice.

The hospital has different language requirements depending on the role, function, and tasks involved.

It is required that health care employees have approval from the Norwegian Registration Authority for Health Personnel.
