Kompetanse

I have an MD and a PhD degree from Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest, Hungary and from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, respectively. My primary postion is at the Department of Public Health and General Practice/Norwegian University of Science and Technology where I am employed as professor in epidemiology. I have 20% employment at the Regional Center for Health Care Improvement, StOlav Hospital as a researcher.

I am involved in research on safety of pharmaceutical products, on iatrogenic infections, on cardiovascular complications after surgery and other invasive procedures and on patient safety issues regarding clinical pathways and ambulatory emergency
